Perseid Meteor Star Party A Success!

Many gathered at the Stargazing Plateau on Saturday night. Blankets - it was nippy! - and lounge chairs and drinks were the norm. Mr. Steve Case brought his very huge telescope to check out the closed nebulas and stars and moons, while waiting for the meteors to streak by. Quiet fun while being under the amazing blanket of the Milky Way!

My husband and I were very impressed with Outdoor World and the meteor shower.

The campground was beautiful with large sppaces for both RV's and tents. The bathrooms and showers were the best I've ever seen! Just like home-spotlessly clean and warm with quality fixtures.
The pool and the jacuzzi were first rate. The pool, clos to being olympic size was crystal clear. The deck had space for lounges without feeling crowded.

I personally loved the "bunkhouse" where we stayed.
We are not campers but were dying to see the perseid shower without San Diego's light pollution.
We brought our own sheets and blankets and slept on comfortable bunks. There were new screens on the windows and a ceiling fan.

The black sky sparkled with a thousand points of light. I saw around 40 shooting stars..I would have seen more, but I kept dozing off.

I will definitely return to this little piece of heaven.
Tha campground owners made my visit memorable.
Thank you.
